Das Interphase 4539F bietet auf einem PMC-Modul vier E1/T1/J1 Schnittstellen
mit Front-I/O, einen
Fast Ethernet Port über P13, eine 300 MHz MPC8264 PowerQUICC II™ CPU mit
128 MB DRAM und 8 MB Flash sowie ein TDM-Bus
Interface. Die vier
Line Interfaces kontrolliert ein QuadFALC™ Framer Chip von Infineon®. Die
Line Interfaces können per Software als E1, T1 oder J1 konfiguriert
werden und stehen über Transition Module mit jeweils 4 oder 8 RJ48-C
Buchsen zur Verfügung.
Das Modul
beherrscht ATM Inverse-Multiplexing
(IMA) und erlaubt so die Bündelung von bis zu vier E1 Ports.
Durch diese umfangreiche Ausstattung bietet das 4539F
PMC die Möglichkeit ein komplettes Gateway mit einem einzigen Modul zu
realisieren. Dabei erlaubt es eine Vielzahl von
Netzwerk Plattformen einschließlich UMTS Radio Network Controllern (RNCs),
CDMA2000 Basestation Controllern (BSCs), Signalisierungs-Gateways und
die Infrastruktur für Breitbandzugänge zu verbinden.
Im Lieferumfang ist ein umfangreiches Board
Development Kit enthalten. Ein optionales Board Support Package für
Wind Rivers VxWorks 5.4 bietet On-Board ATM AAL0, AAL2 und AAL5
Protokollunterstützung.
