MCH Modul for Switch and System Management
The Emerson Network Power MicroTCA Carrier Hub MCH-1010/1020 is the central
management and data switching entity for all MicroTCA systems. The MCH-T/E is MicroTCA.0 R1.0 compliant and delivers switching functionality for the various system fabrics as defined in the AMC.x
standard series, i.e. Gigabit Ethernet and opt. PCIe. The Gigabit Ethernet Switch provides a layer 2, non-blocking,
low-latency Gigabit Ethernet switch, supporting VPN, IEEE 802.1p
priority, spanning tree and port mirroring.
The MCH-1010/1020 incorporates a MicroTCA Carrier Management controller (MCMC)
which supports and manages 12 AMC modules. The MCH offers
two Gigabit Ethernet ports and one Micro DB-9 RS232 port on the front panel. The MCH-1020 offers
additionally PCIe x4 lanes to
every slot.
Both versions of the MCH allow two synchronization clocks. The MCH
base board is specifically designed to support 8 KHz, 1.544 MHz, 2.048
MHz, and 19.44 MHz reference input clocks but other input clocks may be
supported including.
The MCH-1010/1020 can used in all MicroTCA systems.
