10GbE AMC Carrier with 2 opt. Dual/Quad Core Processor
The aTCA-6900 CPU board by Adlink offers two mid size AMC slots and support for rear transition modules (RTM). This carrier blade complies with the PICMG 3.0 base interface and PICMG AMC specifications (AMC.0 to AMC.3) and supports an unlimited combination of processor and I/O AMCs, offering the user on-demand provisioning of resources. The AdvancedTCA board is the first product which support PCIe x8 PICMG 3.4 or 10GbE as fabric interface.

The aTCA-6900 offers a 24 port GbE switch with two 10GbE ports. The AMC slots are connected to the Intel 5100 MCH and ICH9R chipset switches with PCI Express ports. The Intel ICH9R manages the ATI ES1000 graphics chipset with 64 MB VRAM which allows resolutions up to 1600x1200 pixel. Two dual core low voltage or two quad core Xeon processors have a 2.13 GHz clock rate, up to 32 GB 677 MHz RAM and EM64T 64 bit technology.

On the front panel are one VGA, three USB 2.0, two GbE and one RS232 port available. The AMC slots allows SATA/SAS disks with RAID 0/1/5 configuration. SCSI/SAS has a high fail-safe and offers fast and secure connections. That's why it is qualified for blade server systems. RAID 1 system offers more secure through mirroring on a second hard disk. In case of failure a further work is possible, which is specially important with applications of real times. RAID 5 combined the advantages of RAID 0 and 1 by offering a high data rate and redundancy for low costs.

The Quad Core board is also available as cPCI-6920 CompactPCI blade.
