Emerson Network Power's ATCA-7301 AdvancedTCA Blade-CPU offers an Intel Core 2 Duo processor with a clock rate up to 2.16 GHz. The processor is connected to the Intel E3100 chip set with 667 MHz FSB. 1 MB boot flash and up to 16 GB two channel DDR II 400 MHz RAM are available. The board is hot swap compliant and supports Gigabit Ethernet over PICMG 3.0 and PICMG 3.1. A GbE switch provides routing between the processor, AMC modules, base, and fabric interfaces.

The front panel offers two USB, one RJ-45 and a RS232 port. In addition the board supports two Mid Size AdvancedMC modules to extend the ATCA-7301 with standard I/O functions. An intelligent platform management (IPM) controller monitors all local and blade specific environmental information.

The ATCA-7301 can be configured with the optional Centellis 4000 software package. The Centellis 4000 contains Wind River PNE 2.0 with all required Linux Support Packages (LSPs) and the Basic Blade Services Software (BBS). The Hardware Platform Interface (HPI) is a part of the BBS software and is conform to the SA Forum specification.

More interfaces are available over an opt. transition module (RTM). In addition the ARTM-7301 offers a SAS interface, two GbE interfaces, eight E1/T1 interfaces, one RS232 port and one USB port. SAS has a high fail-safe and offers fast and secure connections. That`s why it is qualified for blade server systems.
