Quad Core Xeon CompactPCI CPU board
with exceptional performance at a small foot print and SCSI Interface on
the Rear Transition Module
ADLINK's cPCI-6920 CompactPCI system slot CPU board is
a 6U/8HP Single-Board computer for a 2.13 GHz low-voltage Quad Core
Intel® Xeon™ processor or two low-voltage 2.13 GHz Dual Core Xeon processors.
The board supports hot swap according PICMG 2.1 R2.0 and can carry up to
16 GB DDR2 667 ECC RAM.
A 4HP version with two low-voltage 2.13 GHz Dual Core Intel
Xeon processors are available. This version could be running in the
satellite mode to create a blade architecture which only need voltage
from the backplane.
The cPCI-6920 offers two Gigabit Ethernet ports via
front panel and two ports via backplane (acc. PICMG 2.16) or RTM. The GbE ports are linked via 64-bit/66MHz PCI-X bus to the chipset to ensure
maximum performance in the 8HP version. The board has an ATI ES1000 graphics controller with
64 MB memory, one RS232, four USB 2.0, and PS2 MS/KB interfaces. Onboard
the CPU board can connect Compact Flash, USB Flash and opt. SATA.
The cPCI-R6001 transition module provides two GbE
ports, four USB ports, one RS232 port, SCSI, and one PS/2 mouse keyboard
port. The cPCI-R6001 has on-board connectors for SATA, RS232, floppy,
and opt. Compact Flash. Two Ultra-320 SCSI interfaces with RAID 0/1
support. SCSI has a high fail-safe and offers
fast and secure connections, which qualifies it for blade server
systems. RAID 1 systems offer more security through mirroring on a
second hard disk. The board is optimized for real time applications.
The Quad Core board is also available as
aTCA-6900
AdvancedTCA blade.
