The TCP469 and TCP470 are standard 3U 32 bit CompactPCI modules and offer 4 or 8 channel high performance
serial controllers with individually programmable RS232, RS422, and
RS485 interfaces. The TCP469 has 8 channels and the TCP470 has 4
channels. All channel are insulated from the system and against
each other by digital insulator and on board integrated DC/DC converter. The modules have an operating temperature range from
-40°C to +85°C.
The RS232 channels support RxD, TxD, RTS, CTS and
GND. The RS422 and RS485 channels can operate in 4-wire full duplex
(RxD+/- and TxD+/-) or 2-wire half duplex
(Dx +/-) mode. The modules have front I/O via a HD50 connector.
Each channel has 64 byte transmit and receive FIFOs. The FIFO
trigger thresholds, and the baud rates are individually
programmable: up to 921.6 kbps for RS232 channels, and 5.5296 Mbps for
RS422/485 channels. All channels generate interrupts on PCI interrupt INTA.
For fast interrupt source detection the UART provides a special global
interrupt source register. All channels use transceivers with 15 KV ESD
protection.
A wide range of drivers is available: Linux, LynxOS, Integrity, QNX,
VxWorks and Windows. All drivers - except the Windows drivers - are
supplied as C source code.
