Flexible high performance E1/T1/J1 PICMG® 2.16 Communications
Controller
The Interphase iSPAN 1635 controller in 6U CompactPCI® format
provides 8 E1/T1/J1 ports which can be individually configured by software to E1, T1, or J1
mode. The iSPAN1635 supports front panel I/O or rear I/O (build option). A Motorola
MPC8264A PowerQUICC™ II processor with 300 MHz clock (520 MIPS), 128 MB DRAM, and 16 MB Flash
facilitates the board's integration in telecommunication
applications. The MPC8264A processor provides inverses multiplexing for ATM (IMA)
and supports ATM AAL2.
The board has tree 10/100 Mbit Fast Ethernet ports of which two are
PICMG® 2.16 compliant. The 3rd Ethernet
port is routed to the front panel. Also on the front panel is a RS232
debug port.
The board features a H.110 bus with 1024 local-to-local and 512 local-to-H.110
time slots.
Solaris® and VxWorks™ SDKs are available.
