The new Schroff 5U MicroTCA™ system provides 6 double mid size AMC
slots and 6 double mid size rear transition module slots. It is compliant to the xTCA specification PICMG
Physics WG1. The system has one MCH,
one 300W AC power supply and one NAT power
switch module. The two dust filters are exchangeable from the front and
rear.
The System has four speed controlled fans for AMC cooling and two speed
controlled fans for RTM cooling. The speed of the fans is controlled by
a MAX6651 fan controller chip on the backplane which is connected to the
local IC2 bus of the MCH.
The chassis provides an AC-input 300 W industrial type plug-in
power supply. A NAT power switching module on the backplane communicates
with the MCH via single IPMB-A to enable power to the MCH and AMC slots.
