High Performance DSP Solution for PTMC
Platforms
The SurfRider-812/PTMC is an PMC card designed to provide video
processing, VoIP, cryptography, and medical imaging. The eight DSPs are
from the Texas Instruments TMS320 C64x series. Every C6412 DSP has 64MB
SDRAM and up to 720MHz clock rate. The DSP interfaces are configurable
over API. All DSPs are located on the top side for efficient cooling.
The included layer 2 switch comes with a direct network connection for
each DSP.
A TDM Router
is implemented within the Interface FPGA for board management. The FPGA
handles the interface between the main board and the DSPs.
The SurfRider-812/PTMC is provided with SurfUP, Surf's telecom-ready media
processing software that allows proprietary applications to be embedded
directly into the DSP framework. The board handles voice, video, mobile
video, fax and modem over IP capabilities. The traffic for these
capabilities will transported over the TDM
protocol over Ethernet.
Support for
Linux and Windows is available.
