4U 19" PCIe Chassis with up to 10 Slots and PCIe 5.0 Gen3

The Dolphin eBox 4 is a modular PCIe 5.0 expansion system in a 4U 19-inch rackmount format designed for high-performance computing, AI, and data-intensive applications. The system is based on a platform-based architecture with variable PCIe 5.0 backplane configurations. It supports 2-, 3-, and 5-slot passive backplanes as well as combined 5+2- and 2×5-slot configurations. A total of up to 8 PCIe 5.0 add-in cards are possible.

The system enables the expansion of a host system with PCIe add-in cards via passive backplanes and uplink adapters, providing a transparent PCIe expansion in which the connected devices appear as internally installed components within the host system. Depending on the model, the backplanes are available in 2 slot x16, 3 slot x8, or 5 slot x4 configurations.

The host connection is established via PCIe extender technology and supports copper and fiber-optic connections with transmission distances of up to 200 m, depending on the uplink adapter used. PCIe 3.0, 4.0, and 5.0 uplink connections are supported, with the maximum data rate and distance depending on the uplink module used and the PCIe generation.

The system is designed for 24/7 continuous operation and, depending on the model, features a power supply of up to 1000 W. An active cooling system with temperature-controlled high-performance fans ensures front-to-back airflow and stable operating conditions even under heavy load. The 19"-rackmount chassis allows for integration into standard server racks.

The Dolphin eBox 4 is suitable for GPU computing, AI training, scientific simulations, and data-intensive industrial applications, offering scalable PCIe expansion with high bandwidth, low latency, and a flexible system architecture.
