TXMC463 XMC Module with 4 Port Serial RS-232/422 Controller with Programmable Interfaces

XMC module that offers 4 channel high performance serial controllers with individually programmable RS-232 and RS-422 interfaces. The TXMC463-10R and -15R provide 4 RS232 interfaces. The TXMC463-11R provides 4 RS422 interfaces. The TXMC463-12R provides 2 RS232 and 2 RS422 interfaces. The TXMC463-15R uses a non-standard RJ45 I/O pinout (as used on Motorola CPU boards). The module has an operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.

RS-232 channels support TxD, RxD, RTS, CTS, DTR, DCD, and DSR/RI. RS-422 channels support TxD+/- and RxD+/- on front and TxD+/-, RxD+/-, RTS +/- and CTS +/- on back I/O. The module has front I/O via a RJ45 connectors.

Each channel has 256 byte transmit and receive FIFOs. The FIFO trigger thresholds, and the baud rates are individually programmable: up to 1 Mbps for RS-232 channels, and 16 Mbps for RS-422 channels. For fast interrupt source detection the UART provides a special global interrupt source register. All channels use transceivers with ±15 kV ESD protection.

A wide range of drivers is available: Linux, LynxOS, Integrity, QNX, VxWorks and Windows. All drivers - except the Windows drivers - are supplied as C source code.
